Tiny Sanrio scenes with pieces that move when you shake them—these charms are cute before you even get to the gummies. We picked up five packs to open, with 15 possible designs waiting inside. Time to see who would join the collection!

    What’s Inside Sanrio Charm Gummies?

Each pack of Sanrio Characters Kyara Shaka Charm Gummy pairs a shaker charm with 26g of gummy candy. If you’re looking for it in Japan, the name on the packaging is サンリオキャラクターズ きゃらシャカ☆チャームグミ.

You get one of 15 charm designs at random, so each opening brings a little surprise. All come with a ball chain, and a retailer lists them at approximately 48–50 mm tall, or about 2 inches.

There are 12 standard designs and three heart-shaped anniversary designs featuring Pompompurin, Wish me mell and Chococat. Pompompurin has both a standard version and a heart-shaped one to look out for.

    Opening Five Sanrio Charm Gummies

    Pack 1: Marumofubiyori

First up: Marumofubiyori! That little blanket with blue polka dots is so cute. The bright blue ball chain goes with the soft colors of the room scene, right down to the attachment.

    Pack 2: Pompompurin

Next came Pompompurin in the standard design. His little orange room has such a warm look, and the shiny gold-colored ball chain fits right in.

Two packs, two different characters so far.

    Pack 3: My Melody

A winking My Melody was waiting in the third pack, complete with a bow and a checked skirt. Her charm is round, with a bright pink ball chain to go with the pink room inside.

Three different characters, and still no repeats!

    Pack 4: Pochacco

Pochacco joined us next in a little teal cap and hoodie. Such a cute outfit, with small bird and car pieces to spot inside his charm, too. His ball chain is bright green.

Four packs open, four different characters. Just one left.

    Pack 5: Pochacco Again

Another Pochacco! Our first duplicate arrived in the very last pack, leaving us with four different characters from five packs.

None of the heart-shaped designs turned up this time.

Moving Parts and Colored Ball Chains

A little shake gets the pieces moving around inside each charm. There are small details to spot in the room scenes, but watching the pieces move is part of the fun, too.

And even the ball chains have color: blue, gold, pink and green. We thought that was a cute finishing touch.

    Gummy Shapes and Flavors

Then it was gummy time. The Sanrio faces continued here, with Hangyodon, Kuromi and Cinnamoroll among the shapes we found.

The range includes 10 shapes and two flavors, strawberry and muscat grape. Ours were red and yellow-green, with a springy chew. Cute shapes, a nice bit of bounce, and tasty gummies to eat after the openings.

Where to Find Sanrio Charm Gummies

We found our five packs at a supermarket in Japan in late October 2026.

The official release date was October 26, 2026. In Japan, check the candy aisles of supermarkets and other large retailers. Arrival times and stock can vary between stores.

The Japanese name near the start of this article can help you spot the right package among the other Sanrio treats.

    Conclusion

Five packs brought us four characters, each with a little scene to explore and pieces to shake around. We liked the colorful ball chains as much as the small details inside—and the character-shaped gummies made a cute, tasty finish.
